Health Occupations Promoting Equity (HOPE) is a statewide program done in collaboration among the 6 regional AHEC Centers in Colorado. The program is a health career exploration program for high school students.
There is an introduction session to the program done in September and 6 sessions following through the remainder of the school year covering a variety of health related topics. The sessions take place the first Monday of every month from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. You can attend these sessions in person at a regional center or virtually via Zoom.
We encourage Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students from rural or other underrepresented backgrounds to apply for this program!
The HOPE Institute is a week long FREE camp held in July at UCCS with a couple of day trips to the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. At the end of the school year, the application for the summer camp will open for HOPE students to apply.
Applications for the HOPE Institute Summer Camp are now closed.
See you next year!
